I am Kevin “Doc” Burgess (aka Coach K Doc B). My ethos is that fitness should always be balanced with a person’s lifestyle to remain sustainable. It should be accessible and enjoyable whilst being tailored to measurable and realistic goals. I want to share my knowledge and workout programs to ensure that regardless of ability, my workouts can be used to support a healthy lifestyle.
The health and fitness industry has become saturated with ‘dos and don’ts’, however I believe there is an alternative that is not a fad but a long-term transformation that will inevitably lead to a happier & healthier life. To do this, I want people to learn the knowledge to maintain their fitness & continue to work towards their goals independently, long after the initial sign up. All science-based practices and as “Lean” as possible.
I have always been passionate about fitness and all it entails. While I may have come to attain my CPT certification somewhat late in life (at the ripe age of 58), I am well versed in all things “Lean”. I attained my “Lean Sensei” status via Villanova University during Covid and have taught 100s of people in all aspects of a “Lean” lifestyle. From manufacturing to personal practices.
My aim or niche is to help those that are 40+ years of age and or anyone of Veteran status. I served in the US Army and via my Basic Training Drill Seargent, Sgt. Winters, is where my “Lean” journey began. Back in 1983 he informed the platoon, “There’s the long way to do things and there’s the short way to do things and do them right”. I’m sure you can easily guess which way he taught us.
While true transformations do not happen overnight…WE got this.
